The X-Meeting/BSB 2015 invites you to submit your work to our event!
 
Your work can be submitted as a paper and/or* as a poster!
 
Accepted papers will be published as a special issue of BMC Bioinformatics

*Please note that when you submit a paper its abstract is automatically submitted as a poster abstract under the same title.

 
 
Poster Submissions

Important Dates: Poster submissions will be open from June 19th to September 25th
 
 
Instructions for Abstract Submission:
- Abstracts must be in English.
- Abstracts must have between 250 and 400 words.
- All authors, affiliations and funding support need to be declared.
- Do not include figures, tables or references.
- Do not divide your abstract in sections.
- A brief description of preliminary results in the abstract is encouraged.
- A maximum of two posters is allowed per presenting author.
- Abstracts must describe scientific data and advertisement material will not be accepted.
 
Authors should select the area which best relates to their work between the following options:
(1) Genes and Genomics;
(2) RNA and Transcriptomics;
(3) Proteins and Proteomics;
(4) Systems Biology and Networks;
(5) Software Development and Databases;
(6) Phylogeny and Evolution.
 
Poster Sessions will be held at FAU (Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo) main lobby on the 4th and 5th of November from 6pm to 8pm. Check the online map and our venue information page  to learn more about the location and how to get there.

 Authors should select the area which best relates to their work between the following options:
 (1) Genomics and Metagenomics
 (2) Transcriptomics and Gene Expression
 (3) Systems Biology and Translational Biology
 (4) Structural Biology and Proteomics

 (5) Tools / Applications / Databases

Review Process: Once paper submission deadline is reached, the first round of the evaluation process will commence. At this first round, 20 articles will be selected to be presented as a 15 minutes short talk during the conference. Authors will be notified and invited to present their work from October 10th. Please note that this first selection does not guarantees the acceptance of the manuscript for publication at BMC Bioinformatics. The peer review process will continue for all non-rejected manuscripts according to BMC guidelines. As soon as a final decision is reached, authors will be notified at the end of this process.
