ISCB Membership
CURRENT ISCB MEMBERS: If you are a current member of ISCB, you must use the email address you registered with ISCB in order to register at the member rates through the on-line system. If you do not know the email address you used to register with ISCB, please send email to admin@iscb.org.

ISCB NON-MEMBERS: Non-members will be able to join ISCB through the ISMB 2006 on-line
conference registration system and immediately receive member rates for ISMB 2006. You can either join when you register for the conference or you can join directly with ISCB here: http://www.iscb.org/membership.shtml

ISCB MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: If your ISCB membership is not current, you will be offered an opportunity to renew your membership along with your registration fees through the on-line system.

AB3C Membership
CURRENT AB3C MEMBERS: If you are a current member of AB3C residing in Latin America, you may register at a special member rate for ISMB 2006. You must use the email address you registered with AB3C in order to register at the member rates. Register online!To register via fax or mail, please print out the registration form (download pdf here), complete the information and fax or mail to CTE registration company. Credit cards accepted for registration are Diners Club, American Express, Discover, Mastercard or Visa. Checks are to be made out to ISCB.

Invitation letters required for visa applications will be sent with your confirmation, after registration and full payment have been received. You must be registered for the conference in order to receive an invitation letter.

3Dsig Evening Session and Dinner

On Friday, August 4, 3Dsig will host an evening session which includes a panel discussion and keynote speaker and dinner, both on a central topic to Structural Bioinformatics and Computational Biophysics. This session is included in the 3Dsig Satellite registration and has a separate registration price of $30 for SIG delegates. The evening sessions tickets can be purchased when registering on-line.

Following the successful format launched in 2004, the panel discussion will include audience participation. Informal round-table discussions and interactions will be nurtured by the good food that Brazil has to offer. For further details on 3Dsig Satellite Meeting see http://3dsig.weizmann.ac.il

TUTORIAL SESSIONS

Sunday, August 6 (Tutorial Website)
Individuals will be able to register for one or two 1/2 day optional tutorials. There will be 7 concurrent sessions in the morning and 7 concurrent sessions in the afternoon. Fee includes one hardcopy tutorial notes and one CD of all tutorials. Lunch is included in registration fee for delegates registering for two tutorials.

*Delegates attending one tutorial only have the option to purchase a lunch ticket during on-line registration for $20.

STUDENT COUNCIL SYMPOSIUM (SCS)

Sunday, August 6 (SCS Website)
The Student Council Symposium is a forum for students and young researchers in the field of computational biology. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work to an international audience, build a network within the computational biology community and develop important soft skills in an environment that fosters exchange of ideas and knowledge.

Accomplished scientists will give an overview of their respective research areas and provide participants with advice on how to build a successful career in a rapidly evolving discipline. This is a rare opportunity for aspiring scientists to interact with the pioneers of the field.

PUBLICATIONS
All ISMB 2006 registrants and/or tutorial participants will receive one copy of the proceedings on CD and/or tutorial notes. Additional copies are available for the following fees:
• Proceedings (CD version only) USD $50 each
• Tutorial notes (CD version only) with all tutorials USD $100 each
ATTENTION ALL ATTENDEES

Laptop Computers: It is highly recommended that you bring a laptop computer with you to ISMB 2006 as the conference proceedings will only be distributed via CD rather than in book form, and all papers will be available as an open access, online-only issue of Bioinformatics. Wireless internet services will be available through the conference facility, and the internet café will be limited to very few machines.

Travel Visa Alert: The Brazilian government practices reciprocity regarding entry visas for tourists (the classification applicable to ISMB attendees). You must check Brazilian Consulate regulations regarding visitors from the country that issued your passport to determine if you will need a tourist visa. A roundtrip ticket and conference invitation letter are required before a visa can be issued, and you must enter Brazil within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. Invitation letters will be sent with your confirmation, after registration and full payment have been received. You must be registered for the conference in order to receive an invitation letter. CANCELLATION

Register online!Request for registration cancellation must be made in writing and sent to ISMB 2006 Registration office, c/o CTE, PO Box 2686, Des Plaines, IL 60018, faxed to +1-847-297-5086 or e-mailed to registration06@ismbconf.org. All refunds will be processed and mailed following the ISMB 2006 Conference. Refunds will be made in accordance with the following schedule.

  • Cancellations received on or before June 5, 2006, will receive a full refund minus a USD $100 processing fee.
  • Cancellations received from June 6, 2006 through July 6 will receive a full refund minus a USD $150 processing fee.
  • No refund of fees will be made after July 6, 2006
