The Brazilian Association of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (AB3C) promotes the Young Bioinformatician Award 2026, which recognizes merit for work developed in areas related to Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. It is an initiative that aims not only to recognize but also to highlight academic work that demonstrates a high level of excellence and significant contribution to the field. AB3C firmly believes in the potential of academic research to drive the advancement of science and technology. Therefore, this award is an expression of our commitment to encouraging and supporting researchers who are at the forefront of this dynamic and constantly evolving field.

Submitted works will undergo an initial stage in which up to three (3) best doctoral theses and up to three (3) best master's dissertations will be selected. Each work will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

The selected works will be presented at the Young Bioinformatician session during the X-Meeting 2026. Authors who do not present their work at the event will not be eligible for the awards. Among the works that meet the established requirements, awards will be given to the best doctoral thesis and the best master's thesis.
